The game is played over a number of rounds and ends when a player has 5 victory points and their island is clear of any creatures.
Turns are divided into 5 steps, taken in order.
At the start of your 1st turn: Place your metropolis tile on 1 of the ports on your island board, taking the rewards you are covering up.
The player may perform the action on the action card.
You may construct 1 item of your choice from 3 available options.

Mine: Each 1 comes with an orichalcum and allows for producing 1 orichalcum during the produce orichalcum action. | |
Hospital: Whenever you capture a creature, 1 hoplite can be placed on the hospital. At the end of the capture action (all creatures fought), you can take back all hoplites on the hospital. | |
Oratory: Each Oratory allows your to keep 1 additional Titan. | |
Siege Engines: Whenever you fight a creature, you treat the depicted die value as a skull. | |
Arch: Whenever you capture a creature, also take 1 orichalcum in addition to the creature's loot. | |
Protection Crystal: The owner of this building can construct buildings or temples adjacent to creatures. However, this building cannot be constructed adjacent to a creature. | |
Architect practice: You can have 2 identical terrains among the 4 upon which you are constructing a temple. Volcanoes are still wild. | |
Forge: At the end of their turn, the forge owner is allowed to perform a 2nd extra action, but they still must pay the cost. | |
Statues: The cost for purchasing an additional action is reduced by 1 when spending the depicted resource. |
